the song "grind to a halt" from the loose screws 10" was originally written for a previous band members of extortion were in called the collapse, recorded but never released as the session was rushed and the finished product we felt was sub-par.
due to the short amount of time we had before getting into the studio for the loose screws session, we decided to re-work it and use it for extortion (a few other songs in the session were also unused songs written for other previous bands)

the collapse featured rhys (original drummer for extortion and drummer on the loose screws 10") on guitar, aaron of jaws and grim fandango on guitar, rohan on bass and james vinciguerra of total control, jaws, all in deep shit etc on drums. piotr was on vocals, but as his visa ran out before we were to record this and had to leave the country, vocal duties on this song were filled by rhys.
